Stefanie Harris is an actor/director living in New York City. Before leaving her hometown on the north shore of Massachusetts, Stefanie spent many years with the Rebel Shakespeare Company performing, and then teaching and directing young actors in classical texts. As a supplement to her education, she also spent a summer studying Shakespeare in London at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. Since earning her BFA in theater performance at Hofstra University, she has performed with the Living Theater and WalkUpArts, and continued to develop her style as a director. Her original production of Romeo/Juliet, a physical adaptation of Shakespeare's classic love story, was seen at the Chain Theater in Long Island City as well as at the 2013 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Following this production, Stefanie was called upon as a casting consultant for a 2015 Edinburgh Fringe-bound production of the musical Rent, which sold out its festival run and will be remounted in the Fall of 2017. Hobbies include: making soups, occasional exercise, and bringing wine home to her roommates. Aspirations include: quitting her day jobs.
